Today is a day I've been planning and dreaming about for some time now. I've requested a year long leave of absence from work at Chevron as the program manager for new supervisor development to take some time for myself to reflect, recalibrate, and reimagine what my life could be. Had it not been for the job at Chevron for the past 8 years, this time away would not have been possible. However, I've felt increasingly discontent with the work I've been doing and the life I've been living.
